Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. This position involves working on specialized projects that require strong technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel. The role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to data management, reporting, and automation efforts while supporting various accounting functions. Responsibilities: - Compile and organize timekeeping data for upload into appropriate systems. - Assist with spreadsheet-based projects, including automating processes and generating reports. - Verify and reconcile staff information to ensure accuracy in financial records. - Process invoices and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks. - Perform data entry to maintain accurate and up-to-date records. - Conduct bank account reconciliations to ensure proper financial tracking. - Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel, Access, and SharePoint to support accounting operations. - Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas. - Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks. - Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. - Strong skills in invoice processing and data entry. - Ability to perform bank account reconciliations with attention to detail. - Knowledge of SharePoint and Access is a plus. - Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. - Ability to adapt quickly to new tasks and systems.
