We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in Pleasanton, CA. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a passion for working with people.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain examination and dental operatory areas, ensuring they are clean, organized, and properly stocked with necessary supplies.
• Assist the dentist during procedures by suctioning, holding instruments, and performing other related tasks to ensure efficient patient care.
• Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.
• Review and update patient medical histories and records accurately.
• Educate patients and their parents on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow in the office, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
• Communicate effectively with children and their guardians to alleviate fears and promote a positive dental experience.
• Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.
• Adhere to all dental protocols and guidelines, including infection control and sterilization procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Dental Assistant certification (preferred) or pursuing certification.
• Previous experience in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with dental software and technology.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially with children.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
